LYONS REGIONAL LIBRARY DISTRICT
WEB ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Mission Statement
The Lyons Regional Library District (“Library”) offers online platforms to further its mission of providing equitable access to resources, education, and experiences to empower individuals and enrich the Lyons community.

Purpose
This Web Accessibility Statement, approved by the Lyons Regional Library District Board of Trustees, outlines our philosophy and guidelines to meet Office of Information and Technology Standards, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA by July 1, 2024, and WCAG 2.2 AA by July 1, 2025, as mandated by Colorado House Bill 21-1110.

Scope
We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website, using best practices to ensure an inclusive browsing and access experience for all users.

The Library is committed to delivering digital experiences that work for all users under all circumstances. We will forever be committed to this journey, as we value each visitor’s access to web content produced by the Library. This includes the Library’s website, District documents, and the content found within our digital archive.

This standard does not apply to web content or District documents produced before July 1, 2024.

As a public library, we hire the services of various vendors to supply an array of digital content to our patrons. The Library will ensure third-party content providers know of our Web Accessibility Policy and we will favor providers and vendors based on their accessibility conformance claims. While we cannot control the accessibility of content provided by third parties, we will assist any member of the public with reading and accessing our site.
