Summer Reading

Summer Reading 2024, Adventure Begins at Your Library

It’s almost time for Summer Reading!

Our Summer Reading program encourages people of all ages to read during the summer months, particularly school-aged children on break from school. This year’s theme is: Adventure Begins at Your Library. We hope you’ll read and adventure with us this summer!

In addition to encouraging reading throughout the summer, we are highlighting all the resources and materials Lyons Library offers the community. Explore nature with a State Parks Pass or trail cam, visit a local museum with one of our Cultural Passes or relax with a board game or film on Kanopy. Stop by at the end of May to pick up your Reading Log and events calendar.

We will have reading logs and events all summer long, catered to four different age groups: Early Readers (babies & toddlers), Children (Kindergarten-5th grade), Teens and Tweens (Grades 6-12) and Adults.

Below are the Events Calendars, showing all the fun programs we have planned for the summer. Simply locate your age group and see what excitement we have planned for you this summer!

Keep an eye out for updates as we highlight special events throughout the summer months.

Happy Reading!
