Upcoming Seed Events

Upcoming Seed events in November at Lyons Community Library

Lyons Community Library is teaming up with the Lyons Community Farm Project to give our Seed Library a makeover! Join us on November 8th and December 4th for a hands-on Seed Swap and sorting session with our new Seed Steward, Jessie Berta-Thompson. Bring your extra or saved seeds to exchange with neighbors, learn simple seed-saving techniques, and help us replenish the community seed library for next spring.

Mark your calendar for November 12th for a screening on SEED: The Untold Story, a visually striking documentary that follows passionate seed keepers, scientists, and farmers working to protect the world’s seed heritage. After the film, we’ll host an open audience discussion to reflect on themes, reactions, and local connections—no expertise required, just curiosity. Popcorn provided. Free and open to the public.
