Seed Library Updates. Free Seeds, monthly seed programs, new seed storage.
Our Seed Library is Getting a Makeover!

The Library is partnering with the Lyons Community Farm Project to refresh and expand our Seed Library. You may have noticed we moved the Seed Library to a more prominent position, just to the right of the circulation desk. Keep an eye out for some new drawers and storage in this space soon!

Our Seed Steward Jessie Berta-Thompson has already added some new baskets to this area. Check out the handy seed-saving packets which contain paper bags, rubber bands, pencils and helpful seed-saving information. Feel free to take them for your seed-collecting adventures!

All of the seeds in our seed library are free! Everyone is welcome to look through them and take whatever you’d like, no need to swap or replace them.

Want to learn more? Jessie is hosting monthly Seed Save, Swap, and Sort sessions December through May. These gatherings are for all – no special seed knowledge is required. Feel free to stop by to help package and label seeds, learn about plants or just hang out with fellow gardeners.
