We are so excited to bring this festival to the library this summer. We are hosting over 30 local authors, illustrators, and professionals to celebrate all things books and storytelling.

Discover adventure where everything’s free,
A book is your garden; your card is the key.

In this exciting kick-off to the Lyons Book Fest, meet award-winning author-illustrators Heather Brockman Lee and Kaz Windness as they take you on a book-lovers adventure. You’ll receive a behind-the-scenes peek at how a picture book is created, a live puppet performance of their picture book When You Love a Book, plus games, activities, and so much more for the whole family.

Wherever you read to, wherever you roam,
Come check out adventure and carry some home.

We’ll finish with a mini breakout session so everyone can try out their own remixed fairytale, with plenty of opportunity to share their work! These events are for tweens and teens grades 6-12.
