September will bring new faces to the Lyons Regional Library District team, in addition to familiar faces in new roles. As of September 1, 2019, Assistant Director Kara Bauman will be stepping up into the role of Library Director. State-wide recognition for our District and our President

Speaking of congrats, major congratulations are due to our Library Board President Kathleen Crane, who was named Outstanding Trustee of the Year by the Colorado Association of Libraries. This is a very competitive state-wide award which brings honor and recognition to Kathleen and also to our tiny but powerful, “can-do” District. The award specifically references her continuous efforts to build a new District and a new facility at the same time, all in the midst of flood recovery, and Kathleen’s inspiring, warm-hearted and generous leadership style and extraordinary team-building skills.
