Cultural and Educational Passes
The Lyons Community Library provides free access to explore cultural, educational, and recreational attractions in the greater community.
Each pass has different terms and conditions, please make sure to read details carefully.
Some details about eligibility and checkout policies:
- You must have a Lyons Community Library Adult library card in good standing (no current fines) to check out pass(es).
- Pass(es) provide FREE admission to you for up to a specified number. Be sure to check the limits for each pass as they are varied.
- A pass must be shown at the venue entrance. Special exhibits are usually excluded. Be sure to check with each venue.
- Passes may be reserved in our online catalog or in-person on a first-come/first served basis. In the event of passes being requested by two or more patrons at the same time, priority usage will be given to patrons who have not checked out the pass in the current year (January-December).
- Changes or cancellations must be made by calling the Library at 303-823-5165 in order to release passes to other interested patrons.
- Please be courteous to the next pass holder by returning the pass by its due date.
- To allow everyone in our community the opportunity to enjoy these resources, only one Experience Pass can be checked out or placed on hold at a time.

- Each organization has different rules and operating hours.
- Botanic Gardens– Each pass is good for free admission for up to 6 visitors. The pass may be used once per library card per year.
- Butterfly Pavilion– Allows 2 people free admission and up to 3 additional guests at $5 admission.

- Fiske Planetarium– Pass admits up to 4 to a Sat. or Sun. afternoon matinees only. Visit https://www.colorado.edu/fiske/ for show information and times. Current dates and times are also included inside the pass pouch.
- State Parks Pass– One car hang-tag for free admittance into any Colorado State Park. Pass checks out for 1 week.
- WOW! Children’s Museum in Lafayette. Pass admits 2 adults and all of the children in the household. Friends can join the family for $6 each.
- Longmont Museum – Currently unavailable due to construction. Check back for more information
